Mary Kate Cunningham, CAE, serves as Vice President of Public Policy at the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). In this role, she oversees ASAE’s federal, state, and local advocacy efforts on behalf of 46,000 trade association, professional society and industry partner members.
Cunningham oversees ASAE’s Political Action Committee (APAC) and The Power of A program, which highlights how associations make America stronger in every industry and every state to improve the economy and society overall.
In 2019 she was named a Leading Association Lobbyist by Association Trends. In 2013 she received the "Up and Coming Practitioner" award from the Professional Women in Advocacy Conference. From 2014-2016 she served as the Director of Communications for No Exceptions, an initiative of the Truman Project and Center for National Policy.
